LaurunaCounsellingGet in touchCounselling for young people aged 11–17
Your space. Your pace. Your words — or not always words.
What matters to you can have a place here, whether you want to talk about it, show it in another way, or take some time before you know how to express it.
A place where your experience matters.
Adults may have different ideas about why you are coming to counselling. What matters here is what the experience is like for you.
You might want to talk about anxiety, school, friendships, family, identity, feeling different, difficult experiences, pressure, anger or feeling low. You might not know what you want to talk about yet.
Talking is not the only way to communicate. We can use writing, drawing, objects, activities, silence or whatever helps you express yourself. You can ask questions, disagree, change your mind and say when something is not helpful.
Privacy and choice
What you share in counselling is treated with care and privacy. Before we begin, I will explain clearly what remains confidential and the limited circumstances in which I may need to involve another adult to help keep someone safe. You will have opportunities to ask questions.
